Re: Pregnant never felt this down and worried

Suppose it depends who you get on the phone then Pity they are usually really good. 3 months - yes for a tribunal issue. If you WERE eligible the first time then it would be a criminal offence for the company to lie about your eligibility for SMP/SMA - and it certainly would be for this occassion. Just asking for the employee handbook doesn't bloody ehlo you. Did you mention they had said you weren't eligible for SMP this time round due to your sick leave?

I do despair sometimes of these organisations who are meant to help people and can;t think slightly outside of their little boxes.

No (so long as you were eligible back in 2011 see Ame's post a couple of posts above) as the bullying you suffered last time connected to your current situation where you have found yourself to be bullied again simply for being pregnant. So the last course of action would be the end of your grievance procedure that is underway now.

As Ame says it depends who you get on the phone, they are not all clued up on things.

        Missed the tag, sorry.

You had had really good advice.

I just wanted to add my reassurance to that you have already had, no-body hear will judge you, neither will the tax credits people, as someone said, they really don't care, they will see all sorts of weird and wonderful relationship issues in the course of a working week and are just not interested.

When all is said and done, and as awful it must be to you, your relationship history is nothing particularly remarkable (hope you see what I mean).

Re: Pregnant never felt this down and worried

Thankyou everyone on here for such great advice, its so nice to get genuine correct advice and not be judged like many other forums sadly.

a small update regarding work... I had my grievance meeting as planned and it went really well... I have received a formal apology from head office the disaplinary has been dropped (shouldn't of even started in the first place) and I'm being transferred to another store so it gives me the fresh start I need... And I am going back to work on Saturday at the new store which I'm really looking forward to.

im still worried about tax credits when baby is born I have read all sorts about compliance visits, people watching your house... Suffering from depression I think it will send me into a proper panic that I'm constantly under survalience ..... But all the others I've looked into have compliance meetings have been claiming income support or JSA I claim neither.... Just a small amount of housing benefit and tax credits... And there interview was with the job centre or had someone from the job centre come round their house.... I've never even entered a job centre so not sure.

its put my mind at ease a little x

Re: Pregnant never felt this down and worried

I've been receiving tax credits for years and I have never had any compliance visit or anyone watching my house. I was a single parent for 4 years with 3 children under 10 and had no issues whatsoever with tax credits.

Goodness knows where you've been asking people for help, but I think they are all a bit paranoid.

Great news the the disciplinary has been dropped and that you are moving stores and can start fresh - stop worrying about the tax credits - just always be honest and never try to play the system and you will be completely utterly fine.

Re: Pregnant never felt this down and worried

That's true.... These were people that were worrying about red lines on their renewal form even phoning thinking they were being investigated... I did think then surely they are reading to much into things

i think it is because one of the ladies that answered my thread in that forum called me all sorts of names and said to expect all that but clicking her name she seems to only post on tax credits or post in the single parents bit slating them pretty much.

onwards and upwards now Thankyou all so much xx

Re: Pregnant never felt this down and worried

Were you given backdated maternity pay as well? because if i recall (i haven't reread the whole thread) you were not paid full maternity pay the first time your were on maternity leave and only paid maternity allowance instead which is less than maternity pay!

If they haven't then you need to request they back pay your maternity pay for the first period you were on maternity leave!

Unfortunately not I'm afraid, because they caused me so much stress I was signed off during the test period so wouldn't of qualified according to acas
