  • daughter 11 falsely accused of shoplifting, detained and questioned by a shop

Hi yesterday my daughter went into our local town to spend her pocket money, while browsing in a shop with some of her friends she was escorted over to the managers desk and accused of shoplifting in front of not only her friends but the entire shop, the staff member then began to question my daughter without once asking for my contact information. another staff member recognised my child and and she was let go my daughter was petrified she would never dream of stealing anything she left her friends and ran home calling me in tears I immediately phoned the shop and advised them I would be arriving first thing in the morning and that I furious with how they had treated my daughter, I have today had a meeting with the regional manager and have been in contact via email with the ceo they have admitted full fault and offered a verbal and written apology along with a gift card for my daughter, although I am greatfull to the swiftness that they have shown in wanting to resolve this I am unsure if I want to take it further if anyone has any information that could help it would be amazing!
I have a very upset and scared little girl who has already been ridiculed by her peers for what happened yesterday.
