    Can anyone please help?
I received on 8.4.15 parking charge notice for £100 - for 'parking outside markings of a parking bay' at my local gym/swimming pool where I am a member - it is a council run premises but parking is contracted out. There is no charge for parking. The car park was full as it was during Easter holidays with lots of kids going swimming and, due to construction work, 6 spaces less available for parking. I parked in a space not considered a bay but also not obstructing anything. Do I have a case please. Any advise greatly appreciated, many thanks

File it until the notice to keeper arrives in the post. Get pictures of the signage if you can.

Between 28 and 56 days from parking if they get it right.

If you post up a copy (front and back) with your name, address, number plate, and any other identifying features blanked out that would be great. If you have any problems, email it to me with your username as the subject line and I will do it for you

As i suspected, it's no more than bogroll.

Wait until very close to the appeal deadline so that they cannot issue an amended NTK then appeal.

                        Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver did not see any signs. In any event your notice to keeper is fundamentally flawed as it does not comply with the protection of freedoms act 2012 schedule 4, in particular para 8. As such i, as registered keeper, do not have any liability. Please contact the driver. It is also noted that the charges are penal in nature and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

                        Yours etc

                        M1

Re: Met Parking charge notice for parking outside markings

                          Hi M1,
Thanks for your very prompt reply.
I will do as you advise and reply as per your recommendation.
Not sure when I should do that - they state all appeals must be received within 28 days from the date of initial correspondence - the original Parking charge notice was dated 8.4.15 and the second notice dated 8.5.15. This would be mean appeals should have been received by 5th May if initial correspondence was first notice AND if not around 1st June being 28 days from 5th May. I have to go on a trip on 28th May so will that be a good time to send in the appeal?

                          Many thanks again
                          J

The driver got a ticket on the window however the registered keeper did not (or might not have)

28 days from notice to keeper.

Will it be okay to send around 23 days or should I arrange for someone to post it later, Actually 23 days is a Thursday they probably wont get it until Monday making it 27 days?
