  • Car Pch voluntary termination

Hi can anyone help me I contacted the car company to voluntary termination of my pch. I have agreed to pay a lump sum so I have paid 50 of the total amount payable. They tell me I must pay for pro rata excess milage as I have went over by 4000. They also want to charge £250 for the car to be collected. Do I have to pay for collection and milage. They asked under what consumer act and section It says I do not have to pay. I would appreciate any help.

You need to look at your agreement in respect of the collection charge.

As far as I understand it though, if you have exceeded the agreed mileage, pro-rata, at the point you wish to terminate then, had you continued to accrue miles throughout the term it would have become a sum due under the lease, so yes, you need to pay the relevant proportion.

    Sorry.
