  • Hi to all - help with parking charge please :)

    Annoyed at parking fine of up to 70.00 for staying over by 16 minutes. Parking charge from ParkingEye. If i pay it by 23 Apri it will be 40.00. Can anyone tell me if its enforcable. Its exsesive for 16 minutes. Thanks.

    I've moved your post to the parking forum, where you'll get more advice

    Your first step should be an appeal. Something along the lines of:
    Dear Sirs,

    I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver was at that time using the store. As the signs say "free parking for customers" there was no obligation to purchase a ticket. In any event your charges are penal in nature and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.

    I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will not do so.

    If you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

    Yours etc...
    If they write back with a POPLA code post back up on this thread, and I'm sure you'll get lots of advice from the Beagles
