Parking fine overstay £100 McDonalds Canning Town - Won

Fine £100 for overstay. Parked approx 3 hours.
I accidentally fell asleep in my own vehicle after eating.
I work shifts for the London Ambulance service
I use this McDonald's daily and am known to staff.
Have I grounds for appeal? It was unintentional.

If you are well known go back in there and get the manager to cancel the charge. The parking company work for them.

At the same time as contacting the manager,

Dear Sirs,


I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver did not see any signs and is a regular repeat customer on 1st names terms with many members of staff. In any event your charges are penal in nature and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.


I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will not do so.


If you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

I spoke to the Manageress as suggested. She kindly squashed the charge.
