  • Do i have to pay a parking charge notice?

I have had a parking notice and was told to ignore the letters.. Which i have..
    i received 2.
now i have had a letter from rossendales debt collection with £30 added to the original £100.
I dont particularly want them knocking at my door for my wife to deal with as im at work but i refuse to pay it.
who do i contact and what do i do????

The reasons i stopped is to secure my 2 year okd in her car seat as she had wriggled out of the harness, i didn't turn the engine off or get out, i just tirned round and buckled her back in and went on my way, i was there for under a minute. It was a safe place to stop and obvioulsy i ignored the no stopping signs rather than driving on with my daughter loose in the car and her safety at risk.

Please help im quite worrid as iv heard rossendales are a bad company to be involved with.

    Thankyou.

    Hi welcome to LB
Was a time scale mentioned on the PCN?
What sort of area did you stop in.

Was it a "parking notice" or a Penalty charge notice"?

I'd be pretty confident they won't knock on your door.

There is supposed to be a 10 minute grace period so you can read and digest any parking terms and decide whether to accept the conditions or not.

I'd ignore all bar a proper letter before action or court papers.
