    I have been given a suspension letter on the 18th with no notice of when the hearing will be held. Can I resign before then? Reasons given for suspension, gross dishonrsty and misconduct.

    You can resign but the company can still proceed with the investigation and sack you prior to the completion of that notice period.

      You are free to resign. However, any reference to your future prospective employers may state 'resigned under disciplinary action' or 'resigned pending investigation for gross misconduct'.

      Without knowing more details about the incident it's difficult to advice.
