  • Rota notice

My partner works in retail and is contracted to 39 hours/week. He has no formal contract stating when he should receive his advanced hours etc and has worked for this company for almost 2 years. He has approached his managers along with other employees asking for their hours a bit more in advance so they can plan things like dentist appointments and once this has happened in the time he has worked for this employer. It is usual for them to get the rota days before the new rota commences. I have looked on-line and cannot find anything giving advice or recommendations, most just say look at your contract. In my partners case, nothing is stated other than his weekly hours of work.
Hope someone can help, thanks in advance.
