  • MEDIATION

my appeals against a charge for overstaying have all failed -what a surprise. Despite them originally saying they would not accept MEDIATION offered by court, they have now agreed and i have a date for the mediation phone call.
i have a defence, and offered to pay for the time overstayed. Any advice on how tnis might go? Also, is there any news about the court case this week about unreasonable "penalties", as mentioned on tv?

    Re: MEDIATION

Whilst waiting for Mystery1 to write this sounds like Parking Eye.
At mediation they will most probably accept £50, although I have faint recollection of them accepting £20 on one occasion.
Presumably you have now received court papers and lodged your defence.

      Re: MEDIATION

Mediation is what you make of it. Beforehand you decide on a figure that you'll be happy with. If it's zero then mediation will fail but it is still worth doing because people who don't do mediation can pay more/less in costs depending on whether they win or lose in court.
