  • Help needed with IND ltd (CCJ)

Hi all this is my first time posting to a forum and im hoping someone can help steer me in the right direction.

After reviewing my credit file I noticed I have a CCJ registered against me from Mar 2012. When I called the court to ask who had registered this I was told it was Aktiv Kapital. They provided me with a ref number and also a phone number. On calling the provided number I actually got through to a company called IND ltd. They informed me that the debt is still outstanding and was due to a HSBC current account. The amount on my credit file was for £4859.00. After this call I tried to route through some old mail that I had kept and came across 3 letters. The first was from CCS Collect may 2011 balance £2534 then sept 2011 from same company balance £2534 and then in oct 2011 from HL Solicitors balance £2689. I did not find one letter from IND ltd nor have I had any letter from them in the past couple of years, none that I can remember anyway.

I called IND back today after discovering all of this and asked why the balance on my credit file shows £4859 and they replied with its due to charges. Surely they cant add this level of charges? I did ask on the phone if they would be willing to take a reduced payment as means of full and final settlement, they replied with to email in an offer as she could not do it on the phone. I foolishly did this today with an offer of £2100 as full and final payment. I also understand that the CCJ will stay on my file until the 6 year period has elapsed. I just want to get it marked as satisfied as soon as I can for as little as I can.

Any help or advice on this would be most appreciated.
