  • Lowell debt 2013

Hi just after some advice I had a account for currys which hfc bank were the loan provider this was opened on September 2007 lowell then brought the debt from hfc/HSBC IV put HSBC as this is the only bit of proof they have provided which as my account number and a new reference number which is lowell basically stateing they have sold the debt to them October 2013
iv had numerous letters from lowell to which I have not in any way contacted them they are now offering me 70% of my balance to pay in full settlement
    my questions are
do I have to pay given length of time this debt was opened
can I get more of the settlement figure
do they have any power to enforce ccj bailiffs etc
also this debt is in a previous surname
I changed back to my original surname in 2010 which I'm still using to date
any help of what to do is gratefully appreciated
