  • Natwest account mis sold. can i reclaim charges from select silver account?

I believe I was mis sold select silver account when they told me I needed to be on this account to continue using all atm machines and did give another reason but I can't remember what it was! The benefits were not applicable as my mobile phone was covered by my partners insurance, the car I was driving at the time was my mothers and covered with breakdown. I didn't travel and after falling into financial hardship was unlikely to have holiday for foreseeable future.

Can I reclaim? How do I find out exact datesfro. And to? I also have.had bank charges as the fee took me into unauthorized overdraft more than once.

    Any advice gratefully received

Ok ... so you were told that you needed this account in order to have use of all atm machines? As in "if you don't go for this account you will have limited use of your bank card"?

If you feel you have been mis-sold this bank account, your first point of call is always a complaint to the bank. You can complain online through Natwest's own website HERE and there's a pdf guide to making complaints to Natwest HERE.

Your complaint to the bank should include any (and all) the information you can think of to show that the account in question was not needed by you at the time is was 'sold'

If your complaint is not upheld by the bank, you will then have the option of going to the FOS.
