  • Family Photo :(

This is my first post, please don't think I'm nuts, I know it sounds trivial.

I have a photo of my Dad as a baby. I've had it for probably about 15 years plus.

I lost my Dad last year, without going into detail the relationship with my Mum has more or less broken and now she has said she wants this photo back.

I am very sad about this, before they gave it to me it didn't see the light of day but I can see she won't give up.

After all this time can she force me to return the picture to her?

(I am an adult child by the way!)

Thank you in anticipation from a very lost child

Is there no compromise solution of having a professional copy made?

Thank you Wombats, I'm sure that is what will have to happen but it will be me who gives up the original which I am very sad about as I expect I will never see it again.

If you get the copy made, couldn't you get a professionally framed one?

Indeed, having a professional copy made is the best option that you can do. You can keep the original. Try explaining to your mom how valuable this photo is already to you. She may understand your feelings about it pretty soon.
