    Hi All,

    I have an unusual query and can't quite believe the nerve of the company involved and would like to know where to go from here - i'll keep this as short as I can.

    I took out credit around a year ago and made, what I believe to be a valid complaint. My complaint was never answered and I received no documentation from the company in question. The debt was then passed onto a DCA. I forwarded my complaint to them, explained the situation and received a reply to say they would not attempt to collect the debt as the company was in the wrong. They advised they would send the debt back to them and I should hear a response soon.

    True to their word they did this, but i heard nothing from the origional credit supplier. I checked my credit file at the begining of this month and noticed they have registered a default. To my mind this was done without responding to my complaint and without sending a default notice.

    I have approached the company with all my documents and sent them my complaint again. They did not answer any of the questions in the complaint. I also requested information about the default notice, when it was sent and asked for an origional copy of this, along with a copy of the origional agreement and a copy of the response (that they believe they sent) to my initial complaint.

    I wrote back advising that they had not sent the documents I requested and the response from them was simple. "were not sending it, don't like it go to the ombudsman" (the exact responce is copied below.

    My final letter to them "As requested please provide me a copy of your original response to my original complaint as well as a true and signed copy of the original credit agreement and default notice"

    Their reply "We’ve now given you our final response to your complaint on 05/09/14. We advised you that if you’re dissatisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service within 6 months of the date of our final response letter"

    Cna they refuse to supply this information? What can i do about this and what are the concequences for them of refusing to supply this.

    Any help would be appreciated
