    Re: Lloyds debt

It's a while since I've used cheques, are all cheques automatically guaranteed now? cause surely if they weren't (ie were postal cheques) they should have been returned to sender, rather than added to your account debt.

I'm not sure about the cheque guarantee but I never had a cheque book on this account. None were ever issued by me on my statements and I've just found on the customer notes (same notes the details of the photo you reported were on) that a cheque book was not ordered only a cash card issued to me.

I have no idea what any of it means but either way haven't they still done something wrong? I wanted to settle this debt for what I actually owed and not what I thought was a load of interest. Since receiving the SAR I don't think I owe anything after I stopped using the account. My direct debits and CPA should have been stopped after I requested them (maybe I owe for the returned dd fees as the date was close). All of the charges are due to being overdrawn from Lloyds' unauthorised overdraft fees which incurred because they took the money for the returned DD charges. The fact they paid out over £1000 to other payday companies after the account was closed should be their problem.

Do I have a case to complain to Lloyds or am I stuffed?

          thanks

If it was me, I'd definitely complain! Once the account was closed, all payments should have stopped. If you had attempted to use the account, for example, to make a payment using the debit card associated with the account, the transaction would have been declined, so you'd be right to expect the same would apply to anyone else attempting to get from this account. You wouldn't expect Lloyds to keep paying the payday lenders then applying charges for the privilege when you were not even aware that payments were made, nor did you authorise them. Oh yes I would complain, very loudly! :director::director::yell: :yell::rant:

Hi, I can't see that I've been charged £1 a day, no interest added other than in the unauthorised overdraft charges. I've never had so loan, credit card or package account with lloyds.
