  • Government & DWP again grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Received notification from DWP re my PC entitlement from April 2014

Had a lengthy telephone conversation with DWP querying why my entitlement to savings credit had decreased

Apparently it seems that the Government has sneakily changed the income threshold and the maximum amount of savings credit a single person can get from April will be £16.80 per week, which is a reduction of £1.26 per week

The lower threshold 2013/2014 is £115.30, maximum threshold £145.40,savings credit calculated at 60% of the difference of £30.05 = £18.06

For 2014/2015 the thresholds have been changed to £120.35 and £148.35, savings credit calculated at 60% of the difference of£28.00 = £16.80

    sneaky bsssssssssssss, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Re: Government & DWP again grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    DLS website says
Pension Credit Saving Credit, April 2011 – April 2015
The maximum amount of Pension Credit Savings Credit is frozen for 4 years which means there will not be the yearly April uplift.
If what is quoted above is correct, it looks live the government have looked for ways round this as its still calculated at 60% of the difference, but the thresholds have been changed to bring about a reduction
    Fraud by misrepresentation ????????????????
