  • ParkingEye Court claim form

Hi, speaking on behalf of the defendant.
Basically he received a blue claim form from Northampton CCBC county court requesting an amount of:
    Amount claimed: £90
    Court fee: £15
    Solicitors Cost: £50
    Total: £115

It was sent on the 18th Feb and I only got back from uni to see this form, they don't understand much english properly so it was just left around. I understand you have to acknowledge the claim within 14 days but obviously this has gone past that date. The defendant wasn't driving either, it was someone else and they parked in a parking spot at about midnight for an hour-ish, pretty much empty place.

Really don't know what to do now, pretty scared about the situation.

Please can someone shine some light on this.
    Thanks.

You are forgetting it's 5 days for service + 14 days so still in time to file AoS but only just so get it done now and you'll get 14 days more to defend.

Then post all the info you have, pocs, notices, signage etc (minus personal stuff)

Thanks for that, the AoS has been done just now.

The problem is that he googled about ParkingEye and everyone said to leave it and ignore all the letters so he just decided to bin all the letters, the only one he has now is the claim form.

What happened was the driver went to the parking place, didn't realise that you still had to pay as it was late at night past 11, as you can normally park on single lines after 6 generally, also there were about 3/4 cars in the parking area. The driver then went to his friends which was round the corner and came back after a couple hours.

      Thanks
