  • help needed with JBW

hi, this morning i was pulled over by police at a stop and check and had a JBW man tell me i must pay £600 (it was more but cant remember the exact amount) or he was going to take my car away which would therefore cost me an extra £295 on top for a tow truck and £36 every day thereafter until i pay it due to an outstanding parking fine with bexley council.

i asked if i could do part payment which i was refused!

i was then told to hang on 5 minutes he will try and get the price down... which he did to £414.04, i paid this amount with the reassurance that i could appeal with my council after.

when i got home and contacted bexley council this was not the case, they told me the last correspondence they had with me was in August and that the bailiff order was sent at the end of November.
the reason the ticket was not paid for was because i appealed it as i don't believe it was my fault. (if anyone can help with that, let me know i'l be happy to share and get advice)

the council told me initially to contact Northampton County Court to ask for an out of time statement... but when i told i was made to pay the full amount she was surprised i wasn't allowed to make a part payment which i asked for.

i was then told by the council that i cant appeal it with them as i have paid therefore showing liability of the fine and as far as they are concerned they are going to get their money!

i contacted JBW who gave me a breakdown of the additional costs:
    £103 = council fees inc.vat
    £11.20 + vat
    £31.00 + vat
    £42.00 + vat
    £175 + vat = attempted removal!

the person i spoke to said that he was not able to tell me how, why or what enabled the £200 reduction of price!

i have not been contacted by the council, a court, or JBW that i had Bailiffs on my case or that the fine amount was going up!

i have been told by Northampton county court that i can appeal, but would like to know if i even have a case, that i have not been contacted by anybody regarding the case since August 2013 and that the Bailiff was going to charge me £600+ that they can not account for over the phone!

i also asked for an immediate email of the costing breakdown at 2.17pm and was told it would be with me within the next half an hour and i am still waiting!

any help and advice would be much appreciated!
    thanks

    Re: help needed with JBW

Hi Cand and welcome to the forum.

JBW must send you in writing the breakdown of the fees charges, how and when they accurred, I think you've been charged one visit too many.
The Black rat (Rattus rattus) is a common (hence the accusation of being Pleb) long-tailed rodent of the genus Rattus (rats) in the subfamily Murinae (murine rodents). The species originated in tropical Asia and spread through the Near East in Roman times (another thing that we ought to thanks the Romans for, besides roads, aqueducts and public toilets) before reaching Europe by the 1st century and spreading with Europeans across the world.

A mutation of the beast now comes black leather clad, riding a motorcycle that looks like a battenbergh cake on wheels.

A skilled predator, totally ruthless with it's prey, but also known to be extremely generous in doling out tickes that can provide points for motorists who want to downsize from mechanically propelled vehicles to bycicles.

It's a dirty job, but someone got to do it!

My opinions are free to anyone who wishes to make them theirs, but please be advised that my opinions might change without warning once more true facts are ascertained
