I told HFC Bank's solicitor in 2003 that their collection charges were illegal, they carried on applying them until 2010 when the OFT told them to stop. I used to work at Weightamans as head of debt recovery - I reported them to the Law Society in 2006 for the the fraud, the Law Society agreed that the charges were unlawful and a breach of the rules. In the meantime Weightmans had sacked me but they carried on applying the charges, even after the LS ruling.
