  • High court writ

I have had bailiffs around for three debts totalling £5000 from unpaid water charges which are all my fault. I stupidly let them in my house and they wrote down all my items. They demand £200 per month which I just can't afford. I am considering bankruptcy as I also have other debts but wondered if my partners house will be affected where I also live with our 2 young children. I am unemployed. Also would these high court debts be stopped if I did go bankrupt as I don't think I can handle waiting for a knock at the door anymore

Before you consider bankruptcy look into it and the costs involved it may or may not be right for you

Are the water debts from a previous address or from your partners property ?

Does your partner own the property you live at ?

They are from his property but we split up for a few years and I stayed in the house while he payed the mortgage and the debts are from then. The mortgage is only in his name
