  • S75...who does it cover?

Just wondering exactly what S75 covers.
A friend who is a sole trader used his personal credit card to make a purchase for the business. The good were faulty but the supplier refused to refund. He tried a S75 claim but Tesco said that they were for business use and rejected it.

Is it worth going to FOS or is he stuffed?

If he is a sole trader then he may well fall within the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

Thank you PT. I will now take it up with the FOS on his behalf
