Re: How long do Coop Bank cheques remain valid?

I have just got off the phone and it has now been established that at last, the 4 year old cheque has been stopped!
And, apparently a CHAPS payment will now be made to me.
If, that happens I will eat my hat:tinysmile_hmm_t2:

It has been directed by the RBI to the co-operative banks as to not making payments on cheques and other instruments (financial) which are over three months old. The cheque bounce laws are quite strict in India and it is advised not to take such matters casually.
