    An ex-employee underpaid me by £500, and I found out when I was travelling – they failed to pay me the proper holiday pay or SSP (I am certain of this). Can I take them to the small claims court? I am out of date for the Employment Tribunal Court. An employment solicitor told me yesterday that breach of contract is different from unfair dismissal and I could do so, but wanted to mine your mind/s…

        Yes, for wrongful dismissal (ie unpaid wages, etc), you can take action in the Civil Court. (In your case, the 'Small Claims' Court)
