    So someone in this situation, living in social housing & receiving housing benefit, could end up paying full CT & get done for bedroom tax as well?

            PlanB....the shoe bank indeed. Would it also help to show she owned her own house before joining the boat, which she sold the week before she joined? We are moving back to the UK...don't know if this is a good idea now! However, we will be moving into her mums for two weeks then into our own flat which we have bought. We will have moved some of the mountain by then. So frustrating as it may become a very expensive PO box to have owned!! She will have been on the electoral role at her mums house as it was her home for most of her life. She won't have changed it to the house she bought as she was not there that long. Thanks for your replies.
