  • Final Charging Order

    Hi

I'm new to the forum and hope someone can help.

I have been in dispute with the council re council tax and they obtained an Interim Charging Order. I have raised objections, including illegal bailiff fees, but they want their money! The bailiff fees have also been included in the ICO.

Yesterday I received a Final Charging Order. I thought a defendant was supposed to be informed of the hearing date and given a chance to state their case and defend themselves. I knew nothing until I received the order. I thought you received a letter from the court giving you time to attend and defend etc. What's my next step?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or answers.
