  • i hope someone can give me a bit of advice

    i will try to make this as short as possible;
    myself and another member of staff were suspended from work on 23rd October 2012, this was for bullying and harassment, anyway, statements were taken of the majority of staff we worked with and as this was going to disciplinary, we have copies of all statements written, as this had gone on for so long (we were suspended on full pay for nearly 9months) acas advised we put in a grievance regarding how long it was taking, which we did, and then the case got thrown out stating we had nothing to answer, dont get me wrong we are glad about this however, we have copies of everyones statements, we know who initiated the complaint in the first place, we also know that staff were spoken to as to what they should put in their statements however we dont really care about this as we knew all this and the fact that it was all untrue in the first place. anyway we are now both back at the same place we were at with the people who wrote statements about us, we specifically asked to go back to our original place of work when we had medicals, which we had to have before we started back at work, right thats a very rough background, what we want to know is......... can we do anything about the statements and what some people put in their statements, work is basically saying we cant do anything we need to draw a line, which yes i do understand but some of the things that were said were very hurtful and we feel we need some sort of explanation for some of the things that were said, to put this in perspective about 20 people completed statements, we only want to ask mainly one member of staff and one manager, we have said we dont want it to turn into a slagging match but that we want to know why they said such things.
    do we have any legal right to speak to them about this?

      Sorry no, and in fact what you must do is say nothing and do nothing - or else I am afraid you could end up on the same charges again, and this time you wouldn't walk away exonerated.
