Just a shame neither of us drinks - however that does mean as the only sober ones we will remember what everybody else did and can remind them of it as often as possible!!! He he he

I'll try and get to Brighton, if I can. The medicos now seem to think they know what caused the FMS and it is a case of some serious hydrotherapy to rehabilitate my arm and leg muscles which have become wasted. Thankfully, I'm not in a wheelchair.

We would love to meet you BB if you are well enough to travel to Brighton, it still quite a few months away and hopefully you will pick up on your muscles and do lots of workouts.

I'll do my best. I've been told twice-weekly hydrotherapy sessions should make a difference.

BB..I have had intensive hydrotherapy (and before anyone says it NO,,NO ONE STOOD ON MA HEAD TO DROWN ME!!)...it's wonderful..I also swim a few times a week......the freedom that brings is immense,,something I can do for myself.
If you do need a wheelchair while we're down there I challenge you to a race...if not,,I can always give you a 'backsy' round if the going gets tough

Ironically, Inca, apart from when I was in the police, I've worked with elderly and disabled people, both professionally and voluntarily, over a 35-year period. So you can imagine what I'm like when people mention wheelchairs. At the moment, I have to use a motorised wheelchair to access Plymouth City Centre, which is my nearest main shopping centre, but, with twice-weekly hydrotherapy, that should improve and, eventually, mean I can walk normally again.

I have a lot to thank the NHS for and after writing a letter of appreciation to South Western Ambulance Service for their care in November last year, I had a lovely letter from their Chief Officer in response. The NHS has its faults, but the majority of those who work within in it do a brilliant job and are very caring. Long may that continue to be so.

I can confirm I have had my monies worth this last year from the NHS with my Cancer treatment and it will be hopefully for years to come unless a miracle cure is found for the type of cancer that I have.

Everyone is welcome to this meet and really looking forward to meeting you all.

I have to agree that the NHS is amazing. I have so many medical professionals that are responsible for my care, both locally and London and they are all my saviours. My GP, local consultant and specialist nurse are walking angels and I'd be lost without them. I feel so incredibly lucky and blessed to have such an amazing care for free.

My local hospital is the largest general and teaching hospital in Europe. So, as you can imagine, we have some of the top people, here, in the South West. There is a very good Oncology Department, but I cannot say for definite whether they would be able to help with the type of cancer you have, Tuttsi.

My GP,Sally,is the kindest, sweetest Dr I have ever had the priviledge of knowing. She is a first class physician,,she is patient, caring and a bloody good laugh too.
We happen to share the same birthday (albeit she's 2 years younger),,and every year, without fail I get something sarcastic in the post from her.
For my 50th last year I got a bunch of 'Sexual Health' leaflets!!!!!!!
