  • Arrow global court claim. Please help.

After receiving a court claim from B. Carter on behalf of Arrow Global through Northampton BCC I sent a defence and Carter backed off. Today I have received notice of change of soclicitor from AG along with a letter stating that the requests made in my defence were unreasonable and telling me who the original debt was with and when the card was taken out and when the last payment was made. They also state they have requested documentation from the original creditor. What do I do now please. This is the first time I have ever had to deal with anything like this and I am out of my depth.

Is this for an MBNA card? Arrow have been issuing claims like confetti for MBNA cards!

What grounds did you use in your defence when Bryan Carter were dealing with it, has anything changed?

    Who are the new solicitors?

When you say Bryan Carter "backed off" do you mean they wrote to say that they would Discontinue or they just went quiet? Can you also say what stage this claim has reached such as has the case being allocated to a County Court close to where you live. And is the claim for over £5k.

Please try not to worry. Issung a claim is not the same thing as winning their case

No, apparently it is for another credit card. The new solicitors are apparently in-house specialists. My defence was basically that I do not acknowledge the debt, Carters had not been able to furnish me with any proof I owed anything. Now Arrow themselves are saying I owe them. Thank you for replying, I am really worried.

Carter wrote to me saying they were not longer acting in this matter and today AG have sent me and I assume the court a notice of change of solicitor. Thus far I have not be allocated a court and the amount is way below £5000

The card was apparently taken out mid 2007 and the last payment made mid 2008.

Please help. I have received an AQ and have no idea how to fill it in.
