Notice of Pending Legal Action for Howard Cohen & Co
Hi I am new to this site and am seeking help regarding a letter we recieved today from Howard Cohen & Co Solicitors which is a Notice of Pending Legal Action saying they have been instructed to prepare Court Papers for issue against my mother for Santander for a toal of £3852.11.
The reason I am querying this acftion on her behalf is that she was declared bankrupt in October 2010. Both Howard Cohen & Co and their client are well aware of this fact. The client, Santander, have been contacted more than once by the Official Receiver and I have spoken to them on numerous occasions too. I have also posted them a copy of the County Court judgement regarding my mother's bankruptcy, but still they continue to hound her. Basically I am enquiring as to whether or not these court actions and bailiffs threats are something we should take seriously, should I contact the Official Receiver once again, should I contact Howard Cohen & Co directly or should I seek legal advice? Your advice would be very welcome. Thank you.

Pass this information to your OR and let them deal with it.
Also reiterate this status to Cohen's and the fact you have already told them the situation.

Cohen's letters, just like most DCA mail is from fantasy land.
They cannot take further recovery action if this debt is included in the BK.
