Mis-sold holiday club abroad?
Hi,
I have been trying to find out where I can get information regarding being mis-sold a holiday club that my partner and I entered into 2 years ago whilst on holiday in Malta. Yes I know we are stupid! But when you are whisked away and pressured for hours to sign up, well its hard!
We paid £1200 to the company and now they are after 3 years of users' fees starting with this year at a cost of £198 per year. Even though we have written and told them we are in no position to use the club as our financial circumstances have changed, they are still insisting we pay.
My problem in finding any info has been because this was a 3 year holiday club and not a time-share. There seems to be a lot of confusing info, some sites stating that holiday clubs for 3 years and over should have been covered by a 'cooling off' period and other sites say that it is only time-share that is covered. I cannot find any site that has been a help so far! We found out after we had signed that this contract was non cancellable! :cry:
We do feel that we were mis-sold this but do not know what to do about it, anyone got any info or ideas?
