  • Unauthorised card payments

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. A few months back I stupidly purchased an 'internet business kit' online via my debit card with a one-off payment of a few pounds. Since then I have noticed that a company has taken two monthly payments of $79.90 (about £50!). I googled the company name on the statement and loads of results came back with people saying they had been scammed by this company, that they are taking money from their account every month, etc. I can't seem to be able to find a solution though.

I have contacted my bank who say that I must contact the company first and ask them to cancel, however from reading these posts it seems that people have tried this and just get fobbed off. I have no idea what to do and in about a weeks' time they will take another payment! Please help!

    Re: Unauthorised card payments

Ask the bank to cancel your card and re-issue you with another.

Did it mention in the terms & conditions about further payments would be taken?

Who was the company and what was the business "kit" you purchased.
Any opinions I give are my own. Any advice I give is without liability. If you are unsure, please seek qualified legal advice.
