Have to say, after 2 months of swapping emails and live chats plus phone calls, Lee is awesome! If only everyone at Vodafone was like this.

A huge thank you to sorting this out Lee, especially after what we have been through over the summer (a family bereavement plus my wife suffering a miscarriage) sorting this out was proving a headache and I was ready to leave and just not worry about the money or the contract.

HUGE thanks from myself and also my wife.

Re: Don't Get Done Get Dom - looking for issues for Dom to take on

Don't know if you can help ... I bought a March 2008 registered Toyota Aygo in April 2015. In September after it rained the car leaked water into the rear seats and hatchback/ spare wheel space.

I later found out when I visited a Toyota dealer that this is a common fault with 2007/ 2008 Aygo; Toyota won't do anything as its out of warranty. After chatting to Citizens Advice I went to see the car trader who seemed cagey when I asked him about the faults and the full service he allegedly carried out when I bought the car, asking for the paperwork.

I mentioned that I'd spoken to Toyota and they'd told me of the repairs/ replacement parts needed. One of the other three men standing around the car offered to do a couple of quick fixes but basically fobbed me off.

Chatted again to CA who advised me that as I can't use the rear seats or boot of the car its unfit for its purpose and under the Sales of Goods Act I ask for a refund. Cutting a long story short I've sent two letters one setting out my claim for a refund and the other a letter before action/ claim. No reply to either letter from the trader.

CA said that I should get in touch with trading standards as they can find out the name of the car dealer as neither of his companies are registered at Companies House and I don't know his full name. I spoke with Trading Standards but so far they've done nothing. They've also advised me that even if we do get his name and a court judgment against him - he'll probably disappear and do a runner.

I'm left with a car that I paid £3,600 for and cannot make full use of as the back seats and carpets are soaking wet; the boot has puddles of water and front seats that are always damp. The car now has a rusty boot and spare wheel, also a rusty roof (the material inside is stained) and probably a rusty floor. The rear demist has never worked.

Is this something Dom or someone from his team would be able to help with??
