FFS what a load of tosh...

IP addresses are dynamic and change a lot; HOWEVER, if they have your IP address they can monitor its traffic until it changes; and harvest user names, passwords etc for anything you use which is not https: based or encrypted in some other way.

There are many ways to identify your computer but IP address is the LEAST useful one. Yahoo Mail has a nice method - you register your PC on the mail website before signing in, and it shows you a particular icon when you access their site with that PC - means you can be sure that it is definitely Yahoo's website.

I will not provide support by Private Message under any circumstances. This is for your protection and mine. Any advice I give is my own opinion and carries no legal weight. Check it before you use it!
