  • PCN to enforcement agents

Hi Can someone help me urgently!

In February I received a PCN for my car. I appealed this ticket and in my appeal I mentioned my new address as I was looking to move in a month. I have proof in the reply email they sent to acknowledge my appeal as they relayed what I told them. At the time my car was still registered to my old address.

I never heard from them so I assumed I was successful. Now enforcement agents have come to my house with a warrant of control and have slapped on a compliance fee and an enforcement fee even though I never got another letter regarding the matter (I guess they got sent to the old address).

What can I do? The amount owed was £98 plus all these enforcement fees.

      Council ticket or Private?
If Private have you checked to see if there is a CCJ against you?

It was a council ticket issued by the borough of Redbridge.

It would appear (to me, anyway) that there may well be a warrant of control, issued regarding a Magistrate's court fine (or similar).
@ploddertom is far better informed of these things than I.
