  • Maladministration admitted by Dwp... But. No payment

The Pensions Service has admitted maladministration (in writing) but will not pay my claim for £600 because the 'debt' was for less than one year. Following an FOI request for a statement of how often they have broken this “one year trigger”, they have refused to supply any information ( on unreasonable cost grounds).

I have already used my Mp at an earlier stage just to get thr Pension Service to even reply to my letters. Would a small claims court action be worthwhile? Would I cite the Sec of State for DWP in the action or the Pensions Service specifically?

I don't believe you can claim against government departments.
