Yes, I was summonsed a few years ago, again due to administration error and when I arrived and said I wanted to defend myself, the council didn't like that at all and were very put out indeed, particularly when it was decided in my favour

I am just preparing my defense to email over to the court. Does any body know where I can access the council tax regulations or find more information on how they have to ask for the amount on the way set out by law please?

Council Tax (administration and enforcement) regs 1992 (as amended) and the LGFA92 are the two main pieces of legislation regarding billing and recovery.
