  • CEL N24 Order

I am being pursued by CEL for unknown debts.

It seems they have my wrong address and I am not receiving information such as particulars. I have filed defence on Money Claim and written to CEL twice recorded delivery for more information. All I get it more forms from the courts. I have responded to each one to date.

Now I have a N24 form stating I must file a full defence by x date, or apply to have set aside or varied this order.

Please can someone help me as I am not sure what to do. I cannot provide a defence as I have never received details of their claim. I have already stated this on the previous defence.

If I am to apply to set aside then I need to do this by tomorrow as that is 7 day deadline, but I am unsure how to do this.

At this stage I would like to make some sort of counterclaim as this has been very stressful and time consuming.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dean

      Hi
Sorry this doesn't make a great deal of sense to me so maybe you can elaborate

If they have your wrong address, how are you getting the letters?

You say you have filed a defence but now they are asking for a full defence?

Maybe you could go back to basics and explain

How much is the claim for (roughly)?

Did you ever receive a claim form?

If yes , did you acknowledge it?

Have you any idea what the debt may be for- this would be on the particulars of claim

I have no idea who CEL are I am sorry to say

        @Amethyst @charitynjw

        CEL are Civil Enforcement Limited.

The earliest correspondence I have on this was a letter from the courts which was incorrectly addressed. There are very similar named roads/buildings where i live and so easy for there to be confusion. I told the courts my correct address and also sent a letter to CEL recorded delivery telling them the same.

The court letter was a claim form for roughly £320. I responded to this as I was told online by asking for more time. Then I filed a defence on Money Claim Online.

I was sent mediation forms N180 but was unable to complete as have no idea what the claim is.

Now I have an N24 form and I am thinking I need to ask to set aside. Do I need to send a cheque for some sort of fee? In the letter it says I have to pay a court fee. No other details on this though!

Could you post up a picture (or type verbatim) the particulars of claim?
