  • Independent and impartial investigation??

    Hi,

I had a grievance at my previous employer. Eventually they had decided to invite me to an independent investigation meeting.
I later discovered that the consultant was employed by their solicitors.
It was quite obvious to me that this was not impartial as they also did not get witness statements from my key witnesses.
Following the investigation the 'independent consultant' had sent me her findings saying that I do not have a grievance some 4 weeks later.

    1) Was she independent or impartial?
    2) I thought an investigation was an investigation and not the grievance outcome and that the investigator does not make that decision?

Any advice welcome please - ET starts November!
