  • Recovering payment from credit card company for Monarch holiday.

    Hi.
I booked a holiday with Monarch Holidays and paid deposit and balance on a credit card. Monarch went out of business before we took the holiday. The directions from the CAA regarding a refund are to claim with the credit card company under S75 of the CCA.
My question is: I also purchased single trip travel insurance separately but using the same credit card, to specifically cover this trip. Can I regard that as a consequential loss and include it in the claim?

    looking forward to your advice.
