• MET Parking Services at McDonald’s/ Starbucks Stansted

Good afternoon,

i have received a parking charge in regards to ‘driver not on premises’ and ordered to pay £100.00.

I had used the McDonald’s drive thru and upon exiting realised they had forgotten something the McDonald’s car park was extremely busy so parked in what seemed like an empty car park so I could run back into McDonald’s to grab what they had forgotten (2 minutes exact I was in and out of McDonald’s).

The passenger and I were not aware of signage stating otherwise that you could not park in that particular car park.

Whilst I ran into McDonald’s my passenger waited in the car for me.

is there anything that can be done about this?

Thank you

I was fined not so long ago by MET for overstaying at one of the Mcdonalds carpark as i did not read the signs. I made my girlfriend go into the branch and ask for the manager to cancel the fine. The reason she stated was that the restaurant was very busy and it took ages for the order to be made and as there was no seats in the restaurant i had to eat out in the carpark. Manager took my number and texed me two days later to advice it was cancelled. The advice i think was given to me by mystery1

Mrfuj unfortunately there is nothing that starbucks can do anymore i explained the situation to the manager and even the manager agreed that it was ridiculous in the circumstances. She also confirmed that upon entrance to that particular area of the carpark it makes no reference to it being just a starbucks customer car park it is only on exiting it states that and she also agreed that that is true.

Hi cjo15

Never ID whoever was driving, not even on forum posts.

Can you post up the Notice to Keeper? (Obscure personal details, but leave all dates visible).
Also pictures of all site signage?
