    Other Info:

First of all I took this loan out at the time when i was a gambling addict and may of had 2 or 3 other pay day loans at the time. I took this loan out around march 2016 and that's when the first payment failed. This went up to around 5 or 6 in the space of a few month. I aimed for Payday loans as i had terrible credit for a student. I Feel the money shop didn't do some checks as my credit score was 'poor' on credit reference websites. At the time digitally signing this contracts i was under financial , emotional pressure and applied for dozens of loans across a wide range of credit websites. I have been keep track with some of the loans and completely forgot about this one and did not even know the debt was passed on. can anyone help me with this? What is the best way to defend this? It will mean alot

      Can either of you help?

Did you roll this loan over at all as there may be unfair relationship to consider

It does seem wrong that you were given a PDL as a student - were you a Uni student who gets money three times a year - did you tell them you were a student ?

On a side note- how is the gambling going, have you managed to control it and have you had therapy - might not help your defence but if you don't treat the cause you will only get in a mess again.

Did you have just the one loan which you rolled - how many times? How much did you borrow? How much is this claim for?

Payday loans with other lenders - if you used the same lender several times, look at making an affordability complaint, see https://debtcamel.co.uk/payday-loan-refunds/. That may be able to get you some money back to settle this one.

How bad was your credit record? Payday loans aren't aimed at people with a good credit record...

I just didn't make the first payment and i did not tell them i was a student. Not sure if i exaggerated my income too which could be a problem which i did with another loan.

My gambling problem is sorted now thank you.

I borrowed 150 and just did not make the first payment. My credit record is the worst it could of been at that time. Also, i was NOT notified the debt was passed on until the final notice looking back at records.
