  • Robinson Way - Chasing old debt

Hello All - I;m hoping for assistance - I've recently received 2 letters from Robinson Way regarding an old Credit card debt - I'm 99% sure this debt is 6 -7 years old and I definately haven't made contact with the Credit card company in that time.
The first letter offered me a 75% discount on the debt reducing the debt to £500.00 and gives me until middle of September to 'take advantage of this offer'
I then received a 2nd letter from them 3 days later advising that as they are unable to contact me, they may consider the following options if I don't respond to them in the next few days.
1 - Ask clients solicitors to issue a County Court claim
2 - Send a report to Credit Reference agencies that it is an unpaid account
I have been unemployed for the last 14 months so have no available funds to pay off even the reduced amount offered.

    Would appreciate any help/advice thanks
