  • Tyneside lease Question

I have the lease for my downstairs flat and the freehold for the upstairs property and vice-versa for the owner above.
I recently asked him if he wanted to extend our 90 year leases. He has requested that we exchange/transfer the freehold titles instead.

On researching this I see that in some instances mortgage lenders do no like freehold flats and it can be difficult to get a mortgage.
I intend selling as soon as this has been sorted out. Is it a good idea to transfer freehold titles?

    Can anyone advise me please
