  • BW legal excel parking charge

Hi there I am very new to using forums so forgive me if I have written in the wrong place. Here goes, in Aug 16 I parked in a car park waiting for a friend I never left my car, but little to my knowledge the car park took a photo of me entering and leaving the car park 20minutes later without having bought a ticket. It was my stupidity as I did not see any signs that would have prompted me to purchase a ticket. So...... I have had numerous letters from various different debt collection agencies after I ignored the initial letter from excel parking. I have ignored every letter I have received as per all the advice I have read on line. I have now received a letter from Bw legal threatening court action and read mixed comment online about what to do? I'm stuck if I'm honest? I don't want to have to go to court so what is the best advice anyone could give me on my next step?

Edit your post so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred (the parking companies read forums). "The driver did this......" etc.

The advice on line, since 2012, has been not to ignore. you must have been reading old forums.

Have you got the original Notice to Keeper that was sent? It would help to see that. As they do not know the identity of the driver then they have to comply with the requirements of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 Schedule 4, in your case paragraph 9 in particular, in order to hold the keeper liable,
