  • Recording in a public place for research purposes

Hi there, I am attending a public trade fair today and, as a researcher, I am interested in what people in the crowds are saying between themselves about particular stands, products etc. I don't want to be conspicuously noting things down so wanted to record useful conversations. They will all be anonymous and I only intend to use anonymous quotes in any of my presentations. Is that legal?

    Many thanks!

get the persons permission they have right under privacy , seen recording equipment smashed by people whose privacy been breached! why do you think broadcaster ask people if they can interview them or ask questions on topics. dangerous ground if you come across the wrong person.

    A matter of common courtacy
