New Paper Tax Return Deadline 31 Oct: Less Than 100 Days Away
For the first time there are separate deadlines for those filing their tax returns on paper and online. The deadline to file a paper self assessment tax return for this year is 31 Oct, three months earlier than it used to be, meaning, right now, you have less than 100 days to file a return if you've been sent one.
Missing this deadline could land a £100 fine, but of course, if you miss it, you can still file online until 31 Jan '09 and not be fined, yet if you prefer to do it on paper, go quick.
