  • Joint defendants with same claim number

Hi,any help with my query would be most appreciated, which is this, myself and my partner received a claim form via MCOL from Cabot through Restons solicitors both forms had the same claim number I went through all the usual procedures CCA,CPR requests Non of which were complied with however I only acknowledged online the claim in my name believing that as there was only one claim number I was acting unilaterally for both defendants, now Restons have written to my partner advising that as she did not acknowledge the claim in her name they have applied for a default judgment,is this possible? And if so is there any recourse as they have not complied with CCA so until they do they cannot legally enforce the agreement,as was my understanding,.
    Thanks
