  • Advice about Landlord tennancy agreement.

    Hi peeps

Just wanted to ask a question regarding my currant situation.

We are unfortunatley having a dispute with our currant rental agency due to neighbours building a conservatory that looks directly into our whole house.

This has stemmed into a breakdown in communication between us & the neighbours. We have just found out that several conversations between us & the rental agency in confidence has been relayed directly to the neighbours & this has caused a direct conflict & abuse directed to us by the neighbours.

My question is, what are our rights regarding confidentiality between us & the rental agency?
we dont understand who is relaying the information to the neighbours but this is causing us to receive abuse from the neighbours & causing even more distress.

    Thank you for your time

Re: Advice about Landlord tennancy agreement.

The rental agents are responsible to your landlord and not to you. You have no form of contract with them and thus no way of requiring any form of confidentiality. You could complain to your landlord direct about this and he could then, as property owner take up your objections with your neighbour.
As you merely rent the property your only realistic option is to terminate your tenancy and move elsewhere.

    P.P.
