  • Water bill help

I have a huge amount of debt which I am desperately trying to clear. One of those was Anglian Water. The original bill was app 2k, it now stands at £732.43. I pay £15 a week by so and I have never missed a payment. AW wanted to up the payment to £30 a week. I can't afford that. Today they have cancelled my arrangement to pay and want the full amount by 30th November. I don't have it. I don't know what to do. I cannot pay what I don't have

    Re: Water bill help

    Hi and welcome,
Have they asked if you have had a change in your finances at all or if they asked for an updated I&E ?
I would have a word with the Consumer Council for Water people, they offer free advice and am sure they would help you.,
Someone else may be along to offer better advice but if not please update us as to how this pans out and good luck x

Thank you. They have never asked for an updated I/e form. They constantly rang asking for more money. I stopped answering but it was 15+ times a day easily. Every single day.
They were relentless but I cannot give what I don't have. No matter how many times they ring. They have cancelled the arrangement solely to issue county court procedures, ( the letter states if full payment not received this is what they will do )
As the payment is set up by SO I will leave it to go out as normal, not sure what else I can do. Will look at that link now.

If you keep paying that will go along way in your favour, proof of the harassment will also go in your favour.

I would also drop Peter Simpson an email psimpson@anglianwater.co.uk
He will be very interested to see how unfairly his staff are treating customers.

I have been on the link enaid provided and sent an enquiry. Thank you. I will be watching to make sure the payment goes out. Can they return standing orders? I have no idea how to prove they rang constantly - not sure what I can do there. As the money was being paid and they have been quiet I left it at that. Will also send an email to the address you have provided. Thank you.

Have you applied for assistance from Anglian Water's Assistance fund? See page 3 here: http://www.aurigaservices.co.uk/wp-c...2_June2016.pdf

Have you sent them a new I&E form? Be proactive - don't wait to be asked!

How large are your other debts? Do you have repayment plans in place? Are you buying or renting?
